Progress Update (LARGE)

It's been quite a while since I updated this page. Apologies for that, I've been posting more on Twitter and GameJolt than here.

With that out of the way, let's talk about the progress I've made! Since getting The Butcher into Unreal, I've attached it to the player capsule, added a camera and now the player is basically finished.

That's not all. I've also added ALL of the movement mechanics to the project. Jumping, bunnyhopping, crouching, firing, moving the camera, and WASD movement. It can now be played! Currently, I have a "dev-playground" which is an empty room containing a few props and textures on the walls/floor. It's not a level, just a place where I can test and mess around with different numbers for movement stuff.

As of the writing of this post, the movement mechanics are fully implemented and nailed down. The next sub-project within Project Torment is building out a demo level to publish everywhere my game will be hosted (minus Steam). This will likely take some time because I'll have to lay out the level, make the essential art, model assets, figure out enemy AI, and other things I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I believe that's everything I've done so far. The attached video is Devlog 2, you can find Devlog 1 on the same channel if desired.
