Progress in Modeling and Unreal!


Hey, I did a thing! I managed to get The Butcher (name for now) into Unreal Engine! The first time I tried, it was HUGE and the blades disappeared when I scaled it down. The issue was that the weapon was HUGE in Blender because I didn't know how the scale in Blender worked. It was like 16 meters long, which wasn't right. Now it's like 16 inches long, which is MUCH more reasonable.

So yeah, I have the first weapon of the game in the engine now! 

What's next, I need to get animations added and figured out in Unreal. That'll be a fun experience (I might be kidding, who knows) and I want to start working on level assets. These will be a larger undertaking since they will be more texturally detailed than the weapons. I need more than large brown/black boxes for environmental stuff.
